All the coaching staff at ID Elite Soccer School are qualified Football Association coaches.

At ID Elite, we employ staff who are wanting to progress and continually self-improve as coaches. We will always encourage our coaches to take the relevant steps towards gaining their next coaching qualification.

This can only benefit the players at the soccer school, as not only will they be learning from coaches who are extremely positive and enthusiastic, but coaches who also want to develop there own coaching skills, and provide players with fun and evolving up-to-date coaching techniques and knowledge.

Ian Horswell - IDESS Director / Coach

Current manager of Grouville Football Club, Ian has been with the club for nine seasons now. He started off as Reserve team manager and after winning three trophies in three seasons, he was appointed as First Team manager at the age of 22. Further success was achieved in the Grouville top side with a further four trophies gained in five seasons. These achievements were rewarded by an invitation to coach the Jersey Senior side in the summer of 2005. Jersey managed to win the four team tournament by beating Barcelona Under 21's and Celtic Under 19 youth teams.

Ian also has a vast range of coaching qualifications which include; FA Coaching License also known as the UEFA B License, FA Basic Treatment and Management of Injuries Level 2, FA Psychology Level 1, FA Emergency Aid Award and the FA Child Protection Certificate. In September 2005 Ian was responsible for organising a coaching seminar for local based coaches for former England captain, David Platt.

In June 2006, Ian arranged the visit of Southampton Academy coaches at Le Tournoi minis and this provided over 200 children to professional coaching. During the weekend, the Saints were impressed with three ID Elite students and hopefully the boys will get further opportunities to shine infront of the coaches when they are invited back next time.

Ian has also recently been award with the County coach of the year award for 2006. This award was presented to him at a training session by Jersey football developement officer, Brian Olliver.

Dieter Paland - IDESS Director / Coach

I D Elite Soccer School is the brainchild of Dieter. His idea in early 2003 has been a fantastic success. Dieter has played for St Pauls, Sporting Accademics, St Clement & Jersey Scottish football teams in the island and also captained St Saviours Parish to two succesive victories to win the

Trinity Shield in 2003 and 2004. Dieter retired from playing at the end of 2004 due to a series of injuries.

Dieter is a fully F.A qualified coach, who also holds FA Child Protection and FA First Aid Certificates. He also had a brief spell as player/manager of St Clements FC which saw the East coast club promoted in his first season in charge. His one and only season managing in the 1st division saw a memorable victory at Springfield over reigning Channel Island Champions Jersey Scottish, before resigning to start I D Elite Soccer School.

Richard Anthony - Coach

Richard Anthony who has recently graduated from university is an FA qualified coach at level 1. Although his main coaching experience comes from cricket, with an ECB level 1 coaching certificate which also includes first aid and child protection, he has played football for First Tower United and is currently at St Pauls FC.

Richard was also Sports Captain for both Haute Vallee and Hautlieu school where his responsibilities involved the running of training sessions to those teams in the lower years. Whilst Sports captain at Hautlieu School he was involved in a project which aimed to help those primary schools who had no ways of providing extra curricular football training due to insufficient staff resources. His main achievement in this was taking Springfield school’s ‘A’ team from bottom to top of their school league where they then won the chance of competing in a Channel Island knock out!

Richard aims to further himself as a football coach under the guidance of those more experienced ID Elite football coaches, and potentially give the Soccer school a chance to branch out to the coaching of more sports such as cricket.

Richard Parker - Coach

Richard passed his Level 1 coaching qualification in March 2007 along with his First Aid and

Child Protection Certificates. Richard started as an U14 player for St. Ouens FC and in his first year as a club player, won the U14 footballer of the year. He has also won the accolade twice with his more recent team Trinity FC at the under 18 level.

During his time at Trinity, Richard broke into the C team at the age of fifteen and then the reserves team at the age of seventeen. In the past season Richard has become an emerging first team player at the age of nineteen, and represented the 1st team in the Jeremie Cup final in 2007.

Richard is currently in his second year at the University of Birmingham studying a BSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences with plans to go on and do a teacher training degree and become a secondary PE teacher.

Richard is one of ID Elite's Holiday school coaching staff, and also has coached children in other sports such as tennis.
